Arrival at Macau....

I want to go on a HOLIDAY again!!!!!!!!! :p I’m planning for my upcoming trip in end August to early September. Don’t even have time to drop by at the travel agency to confirm the packages. I’m opting for Australia this time. :)

Yes I know I just got back like a week ago, but having to face work daily at the office is a killer. tsk tsk... somemore I have to work this Saturday due to the new fiscal year planning and without a manager in place, it seems I have to do both the planning and execution all alone. sob sob. :(

On another note, my new manager will be coming in and she's from India. So it'll be like working for 2 foreigner bosses already. My previous manager was from Philippines. Hopefully life would be better at the office. :)

We flew via air asia to Macau before taking a ferry to cross over to Hong Kong... The airport was crowded and we didn't have time for Mcdonald's breakfast... hence we ate in the plane...
Photobucket

Hot bowl of instant curry noodles.. RM 7!

Michelangelo's Restaurant Deli & Bar

I was shopping at Pavilion one of the weekends and managed to savor a couple of nice things to pamper myself after a hectic time at work. Don’t ask me why, I guess shopping is a girl’s best therapy; to feel happy and contented. :)

Aside from shopping, FOOD makes me happy too and of course not forgetting spending lovely time with the bf. :P

After some shopping, I met up with the special someone and had dinner at Michelangelo’s Deli and Bar for some Italian delicacies. There’s a whole stretch of restaurants, cafes and bars situated outside of Pavilion, more like fine dining to sip wine and have steaks. Food are kind of expensive hence it was a way of pampering ourselves with some good food I guess :P

Italian Food anyone? I love pasta and pizza... yum yum :P
Photobucket

We sat inside. The ambience of the place was really nice; with a bar, front kitchen with people busy preparing freshly made pizzas and chandelier lightings. Even the waiters and waitress were dressed in black suit and dinner dresses!
Photobucket

The bar counter... all kinds of cocktails, liquor and wine available...
Photobucket

The menu! We ordered and shared the food since I was too full from all the shopping earlier. LOL!
Photobucket

Caesar Salad. Crispy Romanian Lettuce tossed with caesar sauce and fresh tomatoes. It come accompanied with boiled eggs and garlic toast! yum yum! RM 17.90
Photobucket

Their pizzas are really good and I much prefer thin crust like these unlike the ones you get at pizza hut. Topped with ample of CHEESE that melts in your mouth with every bite you take. It was really filling. Standard size of 6 slices. RM 24.90!
Photobucket

While shopping at Pavilion, I was at Topshop thinking of getting this black top. Very vintage like. But it was the last piece and I never liked buying the last piece I don't know why. Hence I bought something else.... ok that's about it. Stay tune for more FOOD up next

5 days and counting down to my Hong Kong trip... I can't wait! :)

Indonesian Cuisines @ Waroeng Penyet, The Curve

Happy Mother’s Day to all mummies and most important of all, my one and only best MUMMY in the world! May great wishes come to you always and I definitely understand it’s never easy being a mummy to 4 naughty kids like us. LOL!

Anyway I was longing to try out Waroeng Penyet at The Curve for a long time after hearing many good feedback of the place. The only Indonesian Food I had in the past was House of Sundanese Food at KLCC that serves great Indonesian cuisines.

Waroeng Penyet was opened by 4 Indonesians who have been living in Singapore for a few years and longing to serve a real traditional Javanese food to the locals as well as to Indonesians who reside here.

The first and only franchise in Malaysia, Waroeng Penyet at the curve! Opposite Kim Gary! :P
Photobucket

The FOOD Menu.... chicken, fish, soup of all varietiesPhotobucket

As stated in their menu, Ayam Penyet a.k.a Flattened Fried Chicken is marinated with Java special sauce and deep fried to perfection!
Photobucket

Order, pay first and wait for your food... feels like a fast food joint. :P
Photobucket

Tanghoon soup! The soup was tasty! :P
Photobucket

Ayam Penyet, RM 7.90! It comes with fried beancurb and ample of sambal...
Photobucket

We opted for one fish - Bawal Penyet! RM 9.90! I much prefer the fish than the chicken. The chicken meat was a little tough though. Maybe should have opted for their Ayam Panggang/ Grilled Chicken! :)

Coffee and Toast @ Kluang Station, 1 Utama

Malaysian's all time favorite places for FOOD are Kopitiams for breakfast, sipping away their freshly brewed coffee and toast. You find franchises like these popping up like mushrooms at shopping malls. It is indeed a very competitive market with famous outlets such as Hainan coffee place, Old Town Kopitiam and more.

One fine day, we ventured into Kluang Station at 1 Utama Shopping Centre for lunch before catching our movie.

The story behind the famous Kluang Station was known only as Roti Bakar Kluang which is located at the train station. It has established a reputation for its flavourful coffee and scrumptious, mouth-watering charcoal fire toasted roti bakar with kaya and butter.

Hainan Iced Coffee! Not too sweet with slight bitterness with every sip you take! Perfect for coffee lovers like me :P
Photobucket

Mee Siam... simple yet nice! RM 6.90!
Photobucket

I opted for their all time famous Hainanese Chicken Chop, RM 9.90. The chicken fillet was nicely battered and deep fried, topped with yummy brown sauce and mushrooms! Side dishes are baked beans and french fries... Definitely worth trying... :)

Dinner @ Carnivore, The Chijmes - Singapore

It was May 1st Labour's Holiday yesterday and many will be taking leave today to enjoy a long stretch of holidays during the weekends. Sad to say, it's back to work for me. :(

Life has been stressful for the past week and things happened and getting complicated too along the way. Sigh. I seriously pray for a better week to come and my HK trip just got delayed due to work and I had to postpone it 2 days later. Changing air tickets on air asia just cost me a huge BOMB! :(

Ok back to more photos from Singapore shall we?

After Sentosa, we met up with Evvelynn and Ees for dinner. While waiting we decided to have ice cream waffles
Photobucket

Tada sweet corn ice cream waffle... damn nice! :)
Photobucket

My old time buddy from college who shifted to Singapore for work. I miss the old school time studying, rushing for assignments, mamak and k-sessions.
Photobucket

Chijmes today is one of Singapore’s premier wine and dine destinations. You can’t help but find something you’ll like to eat here with restaurants boasting Turkish, Western, Continental, Italian, Chinese, South American, Tapas, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisines, as well as wine bars, discos and pubs to party the night away in.

Address: 30 Victoria Street.
Getting there: City Hall MRT, exit A (via Raffles City)Photobucket

Photobucket

More photos before dinner.

Photobucket

We dined at Carnivore Brazilian Churrascaria. It's buffet style where you get to savour Carnivore’s long skewers of succulent Beef, Chicken, Pork, Lamb, Ribs and Seafood that are cooked in the tradition of the ranchers of Southern Brazil. OMG! I was meat overdose after that.
Photobucket

Waiters will be walking table to table serving the food endlessly. Hence you have 2 cards, one green for YES i want more and red for NO, Thanks!
Photobucket
Photobucket

Aside from free flow of meat, there is a mini buffet spree of salad and appetizers to kickstart your meal.
